Life underground

This series of photographs was taken in London, Madrid and Sydney, and aims to show underground commuters and their emotional states during the time of global economic distress.

There is a thick curtain of thoughts between the camera and the subjects, a middle class preoccupied with surviving the bare basics. Like inmates in a controlled institution, they are looking for answers, trying to work out the political machine that keeps them happy enough to show up to work the next day.
